Production: This gin was allowed to mature in barrels for 6 - 12 months after distillation. For this purpose, new barrels made of French oak were used on the one hand and ex-Calvados barrels made of American and French oak on the other.
Bouquet: A floral fragrance develops in the nose with hints of citrus fruits and cider.
Palate: On the palate, this gin is fruity and spicy with aromas of oranges, pastries, cinnamon and juniper. The finale is soft with butter and vanilla, as well as with a pleasant fruity note.

Production / Facts: The best raw materials such as juniper and 21 selected, exotic herbs (these are placed in oversized tea bags in alcohol for 5 to 7 days) are the prerequisites for our gin. Our CITADELLE gin is distilled on our Logis d’Angeac domain in the Cognac region. This is where the Charentais pot still stills are used, which are used for distilling cognac from November to the end of March. The distiller burns our gin three times to make it as smooth as it is. Then he adds the macerate of aromatic herbs and spices to this neutral, very pure alcohol and distills a fourth time. We chose wooden barrels made from acacia, chestnut, mulberry and wild cherry trees and French oaks. After being stored for 5 months, the cuvée rests in a large wooden barrel for a few weeks before bottling.
Herbs and spices: juniper, coriander, iris, cubeb pepper, almonds, cassia, fennel, liquorice, star anise, savory, lemon peel, nutmeg, orange peel, angelica, cardamom, cumin, violet, cinnamon, grains of paradise, blueberries, yuzu, Génépi.
Bouquet: The nose develops fresh and spicy aromas, notes of white flowers, white pepper, chalk, capers and citrus fruits.
Palate: The subtle, fine taste of candied citrus fruits, vanilla, flowers, cinnamon and wood gradually develops in the mouth. A lot of finesse in the finish.

We made BLUE. Our Roter Turm - ICE Gin gets its glacier blue color from the flowers of the Clitoria ternatea. A pleasant menthol-like freshness unfolds on the nose with sweet, spicy juniper and peeled citrus notes. On the palate, it is a game of oily juniper and peppermint with an elegant bitter note in the finish.
